Continuing Education

We are proud to support your facility and employees with services and opportunities in addition to our surgical instrumentation. We partner with Haymarket Medical Education to provide a free CE course, titled “Proper Care, Handling, and Processing of Rigid Oral Endoscopes, Related Components, and Instruments.” The course offers CE credit for healthcare professionals involved in the handling and care of surgical instruments—please see details below.*

Proper Care, Handling, and Processing of Rigid Oral Endoscopes, Related Components, and Instruments

The appropriate protocols for handling, transporting, testing, and storing of rigid oral endoscopes, including laryngoscopes, bronchoscopes, and esophagoscopes, as well as light carriers and fiber-optic light cables, before, during, and following surgery would not be possible without the dedication of the Sterile Processing Department personnel, perioperative nurses, and surgical technologists and assistants. These individuals are integral members of the surgical team; without their care and oversight of the instruments, no procedure would be successful. This CE activity will outline best practices for safe and effective inspection, processing and handling of rigid oral endoscopes, the MDM instructions for use and guideline recommendations to ensure the instruments are patient ready.
