James J. Leyden is Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary for Teleflex.
Since joining Teleflex in December 2004, James has provided legal advice to leadership and the Board, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, Securities and Exchange Commission matters and corporate governance. He also served as divisional counsel for our former Aerospace and Commercial businesses. James' role expanded in February 2013 when he was named deputy general counsel. He served in the acting general counsel role from November 2013 to May 2014.
Prior to Teleflex, James served as general counsel of InfraSource Services, Inc., a utility infrastructure construction company. In a prior role as associate general counsel at Aramark Corporation, James supported mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate governance and served as a line of business attorney for a $300 million division. He began his legal career as an associate at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, where he specialized in business and finance matters, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions.
James earned Juris Doctor and BA Economics degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.
He is based in Wayne, PA, USA.
