Teleflex COVID-19 Response
The Teleflex mission to improve the health and quality of people’s lives has taken on a new meaning during the COVID‑19 pandemic. As the ever-evolving situation changes, Teleflex is committed to ensuring the effectiveness of our global operations to maintain supply of our medical devices, while implementing best practice health and safety guidelines to protect the well-being of our employees.
We recognize that Teleflex products are a critical component in the delivery of healthcare and have a dedicated global COVID‑19 Task Force with representatives from critical business functions to guide our organization swiftly in the response to this situation.
Teleflex is leveraging the robust business continuity plans that we have in place to manage the COVID‑19 pandemic. We are well prepared to maintain business operations and to provide continuous support to those on the front lines who are caring for people impacted by this outbreak.
Business Operations
Teleflex continues to take steps to mitigate potential risks to product supplies so that we can continue to meet the needs of customers, health care professionals and patients.
We have implemented remote and flexible working arrangements, including our Customer Service Operations Centers in North America and Europe, and are leveraging our teleconference and digital meeting capabilities and digital learning environments (available through teleflex-academy.com and urolift.skilljar.com) to continue to support our customers and health care professionals.
We have implemented best practice health and safety guidelines at all our offices, distribution centers and manufacturing sites in accordance with guidance from the World Health Organization (WHO), Centers for Disease and Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health authorities.
We have also launched a number of employee resource initiatives to support our global workforce during this unprecedented time. We are also supporting our Health Care Professionals who are volunteering to aid in the fight against the pandemic.
Helping Our Communities
We are donating medical supplies to health care practitioners through our Humanitarian Donations program, such as Personal Protective Equipment including face masks with shields, gowns and masks and products across Respiratory, Vascular, Anesthesia and Emergency Medicine, to meet the urgent needs. As an Americares Emergency Response Partner, we have increased our annual donation to Americares to aid their global initiative supporting front line health workers during this important time.
